OAKLAND COUNTY - LAKE IMPROVEMENT BOARDS

We are so fortunate in Highland Hills subdivision to be surrounded by five beautiful lakes.  All of the lakes are completely surrounded by private homes, with the exception of four out lots that are owned by Highland Hills Homeowners Association to provide pedestrian access to the lakes for all Highland Hills residents.  This means there is NO PUBLIC ACCESS to any of our lakes.  You can find the locations of the out lots here.

HHHA is responsible for maintaining the out lot on Tomahawk Lake, and out lots and boat ramps on Charlick Lake, Taggett Lake and Woodruff Lake, for the express pleasure of its members.  Highland Hills Homeowners Association is not affiliated with any lake boards or any other homeowners association.  HHHA receives no compensation from any lake board or homeowners association for any improvement or maintenance to the out lots.  You can find more information on the out lots here.

The lakes are exclusively managed by Lake Improvement Boards designated by the county and state.  The Lake Improvement Boards are responsible for the water levels, control of weeds and overall quality of the lakes.
